Random Fact: 1. Her great grandparents were farmers in Tillamook, OR. 2. Her New Year resolution for 2008 was to go to all 56 McMenamins locations. She made it to about 45 of them before the snow set in the last 2 weeks of the year. 3. She enjoys taking pictures with random roadside objects.
Favorite Tillamook Recipe: She adores the smoked cheddar on a cracker, or a bacon cheeseburger. She says she's a purist and likes to eat it by itself, though it does add an extraordinary flavor to nearly everything. She also likes a grilled cheese with tomato sandwich.
I've been the "Queso Queen" since I was in the 6th grade. That was the first time I went to the Tillamook Cheese factory. In high school my Vice Principal simply called me "Tillamook" when he saw me in the hallway and I frequently gave birthday presents wrapped in Tillamook Cheese Factory Ice Cream tubs instead of bags or paper.
In my adult life I'm still the "Queso Queen" but not to that extreme that I once was. Now I get my kicks by eating my fave of the T-cheeses, the smoked cheddar, and taking friends and relatives to watch the magic that is the Cheese Factory (especially those that have never had the pleasure before)...
