Announcing the Winner of the
Tillamook Ice Cream Naming Contest
We are proud to announce Nathan Rytting of Emporia, Kansas
as the winner of our first consumer ice cream naming contest.
The original name, “Sweet Centennial” was chosen out of almost 400 submissions.
For submitting the winning name Rytting won a gift basket filled with an array of Tillamook goodies and will be featured on the Tillamook Fan Club Web site. “Sweet Centennial” also will be featured on ice cream product packaging in Spring of 2009.
Currently being sold at the Tillamook Cheese Factory under the name “Cows in Brownie Batter,” the flavor consists of rich vanilla ice cream swirled with brownie batter and peanut butter filled chocolate cows.
In celebration of our 100th anniversary this year, we asked for help from our loyal fans to come up with a name for the new, limited edition, anniversary ice cream flavor.
"I liked the chocolate and peanut butter
flavors, so I thought, ‘Sweet!' I also
decided there should be something in
the name to describe 100 years."

Our little dog Suzie can't wait for us to be done with Tillamook ice cream so she can polish up the empty container.
