“Tillamook cheese is a great brand to sell,” says Brad Vesterby. “There’s a lot of enthusiasm behind the brand.”
He should know. As the National Sales Manager for Tillamook Cheese, he’s in charge of making sure it gets to the stores that carry it across the country. But he wasn’t always on Tillamook’s side of that transaction.
Previously, he worked for Albertsons for 19 of his 25 years in the grocery industry. It was while working for the chain that he first discovered the natural deliciousness of Tillamook Cheese.
So, he was only too excited when he was able to make the jump across the grocery aisle to come and work for Tillamook.
“The cool part is to help build the brand for the future and help satisfy customers across the country,” he says.
With Tillamook Cheese constantly reaching out to new markets, he gets his wish on a daily basis.
Vesterby lives with is wife, Carol, and their two boys, Jase, 16, and Craig, 11, in the Portland area. When he’s not working to bring great tasting cheese to the people, he’s likely spending time at his sons’ basketball tournaments.
