Ingredients

 


Biscuits


Yield=8 inch biscuits

2c flour

.5 tsp salt

4 tsp baking powder

1 pound butter

1 pound Special Reserve Extra Sharp Cheddar grated

2.5 oz of heavy cream

.5 pounds bacon cooked until crispy and crumbled

 


Apple Butter


1 pound of apples

.25 c of apple cider vinegar

2 of water

.5 cups of honey

.5 cups of sugar

Salt to taste

½ tsp cinnamon

1/2 lemon zest and juice

 

 

Instructions

 


Biscuits


Combine all dry ingredients, cut in butter, then add cheese, bacon and mix.

Gradually add in cream, until dough comes together. Do not add all the cream at once.

Roll to 1 inch thick and cut with 1.5 inch cookie cutter.


 


Apple Butter


Cut all the apples in quarters leaving the skins, seeds and all.

Add all the ingredients in a pot and boil until soft.


Put all ingredients through a food mill.


Put back in a clean pot and cook on medium until thick like peanut butter.
